Surgeon chair — Carl Mk2 R8
The Carl Mk2 R8 surgeon chair is developed for precision surgery where stable ergonomic arm support needs to be combined with a high degree of freedom of movement. Rini’s patented FlexiDoc R8 armrests follow the surgeon’s natural arm movements in three dimensions, providing continuous support.
With FlexiDoc R8, the armrests can move vertically, laterally, as well as forwards and backwards. The movement geometry is designed to follow the natural movement patterns of the shoulder and arm, providing support without restricting the surgeon to a static working position.

FlexiDoc R8 is designed to function as a natural extension of the surgeon’s arms. The armrests follow movements forward, backward and laterally while providing stable support. This helps reduce the need for static muscle load in the shoulders, arms and neck during long and precision-demanding procedures.
The position of the armrests is easily adjusted using thumb controls positioned for operation even under sterile draping. The Easy-Grip function also allows the angle of the armrest pad to be quickly fine-tuned with a simple handgrip.
The Carl Mk2 R8 is based on the proven three-wheel Carl Mk2 platform. The compact base provides excellent accessibility around the operating table and other equipment without compromising stability. The seat height is electrically adjustable, while the seat and backrest can be individually adjusted to suit the surgeon’s working position.
