RiEye operating tables have been sold internationally for more than 25 years and are currently used in hospitals and clinics across Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania.
RiEye Mk2S is a mobile operating table developed primarily for ophthalmic surgery. Many users also refer to it as an operating chair because of its low seat height, patient-friendly access, and the ability for patients to sit down on the table independently without assistance.
To ensure optimal performance, the table should be synchronized according to the instructions provided on the backrest after approximately 1,000 procedures. When synchronization is required, the hand control automatically displays a flashing reminder. In addition, we recommend an annual preventive maintenance inspection carried out by an authorized Rini service technician to ensure continued safety, reliability, and performance.

RiEye Mk2S is used across a wide range of surgical specialties, including cataract surgery, vitreoretinal surgery, glaucoma surgery, corneal surgery, refractive surgery, oculoplastic surgery, lacrimal surgery, ENT surgery, maxillofacial surgery, dental surgery, and selected plastic surgery procedures. Thanks to its modular design, the table can be configured with specialized headrests and accessories to meet the specific requirements of different surgical disciplines and patient positioning needs.
The expected service life depends on usage frequency, maintenance practices, and the hospital’s internal procedures. Many hospitals plan for an economic service life (depreciation period) of 5–10 years for medical devices. With proper servicing and preventive maintenance, however, the RiEye Mk2S can remain in use for significantly longer. Several of our operating tables have remained in continuous clinical service for more than three decades.
